Not my first read by author, she is actually my top 3 favorite authors and I have read every single book by her, so YES i was a bit excited for this even if it’s just a Novella!!
This right away starts off with a bang and action! Little recap now this is a novella BUT i have read all the DREAM MAN well okay I’ve read all of KA’s book but I am in the know it that makes sense, so I wouldn’t 100% recommend it as a stand alone but if you will, till doable!
Now Lottie is a stripper, not just one but a very talented and beautiful one. She is the sister of Jed. She works at a strip club that is high end and clean, she is the main number there. How would I describe her, well she is very outgoing, quirky, loud and all books and hair…which by the way is not over powering in the alpha sense. She does what she does because it pays bills, it’s her body and to her it’s a job, which gives her the freedom to be financially stable. To each it’s own I SAY! Now let’s throw a wrench in….
That wrench is none other than Mo who works for Hawk, and is the best in the business, not just because of his background but also because he is a power-house, build big, muscles everywhere and very sharp. He also has 4 older sisters and a mother, to which he would never want them to be strippers. YEAH THAT WRENCH, his assignment takes him to be the 24/7 guard to Lottie, who is a stripper….GET IT! Yeah so this is where the fun begins, and I mean it, Lottie might be who she is on stage but outside it she is very smart and opinionated.
I have to touch up on the GROCERY STORE INCIDENT with the ex, hahaha best ever, I couldn’t stop laughing and felt like I was right there. One of my favorite scenes from the book (there were many but this one was amazing) also another big thing, you get a little bit more of a look IN the HAWK and GWEN family *swoon* always loved Hawk and Gwen!!
There is a lot happening here in a short amount of pages, packed with a punch for sure! You very much get the whole bunch of the DREAM MAN SERIES and as much as I loved it, that was my TINY TINY thing that slightly bothered me, that THERE WAS A LOT OF IT IN SMALL PACKAGE.
It was very sweet, packed with action, fun and ROMANTIC! I loved that Mo complimented Lottie in many ways, I love that they fell hard…but together and I mostly love that Lottie respected Mo’s feeling on her profession…it all just worked so well together!! I will say that this definitely has more of the ROCK CHICKS feel and affect!
