This is a NEW to me author and books. I was fortunate enough to have received a paperback (DIFFERENT COVER) ARC from the author and publishing company. I always enjoyed Cowboy Romance so I was looking forward to reading this!!
I have to say that I am so glad to have had a chance to read this. The hero is ALPHA, SEXY and swoon worthy while the heroine is STRONG, BEAUTIFUL and very SASSY. Ex baseball player vs. city girl stuck in the country. When two polar opposites unite, you know what happens? Things melt!! This was so much fun to read, the characters, the story itself and of course the words! Pleasantly surprised at how this turned out.
Jessica is a divorce attorney who found her fiancee in bed with another woman, not only that but with a better looking and younger woman. She sets out to the country to clear her head and also write a book, after all the events that occurred she just needed to get away. That’s when she runs into sexy cowboy Jason who is of course, always ready to lend a hand. Right of the bet their chemistry is off the chart scorching. But Jason has learned his lesson with woman especially city girls, and is treading carefully.
What happens when an old lady set’s you up? Well you go along with it of course, not like their chemistry alone can’t get them close enough to one another. BUT there are far too many secrets on both ends, not to mention the obstacles between them. Jason really struggles to not mare his past and future, which causes Jessica to have doubts and of course question everything. Can these two make it out in the end? Or, will they forever let their past and mistakes hold them back.
GAH, I really have to say how much I enjoyed this read! Talk about the perfect cowboy and city girl romance. It’s a new love so always fun for me to read, they didn’t know each other and you get both POV’s so that’s also a bonus. Let’s not forget about MARTHA the amazing grandma haha and Jessica’s cat THE DEVIL one! GREAT READ!
