R E V I E W ➠ Hate The Game by Holly Hall

My official title: Relationship Consultant. A modern-day, one-sided matchmaker. When I approach relationships like a formula, it’s simple really. If only I had the same success in my personal life.
My gorgeous neighbor turns me into a fumbling mess, and I don’t exactly match the leggy, model-types I’ve seen him with. Despite the fact that we’re total opposites, our chemistry is almost hot enough to convince me to give the dating game another shot. (Not to mention, it’s totally off-brand to be a relationship skeptic.)
What could it hurt to practice what I preach? After all, Theo Hartley would be a fun specimen to practice with. And if things go south—which is my luck—I just have to remember what I tell my clients:
don’t hate the player…

RELEASE DATE: September 12, 2019

Not my first read by author and I must say that the BLURB got me hooked on this and so I was excited when I was able to get the ARC! What I like most about this author is the writing because when reading, everything just comes natural and smooth. The transitions flow and everything goes well together! This was one of those books!

After a horrible break-up Theo moves back to Chicago, this will be his new beginning. What’s not to love, he is successful owning his own gym and things seem to just go for him finally. Until he realizes who his neighbor is and how they met. I will have to give it to him, he is BEYOND SWOON WORTHY and dreamy!! But with his past, he is not sure if he will be ever able to move on or start fresh.

Ava is a quirky, shy and out spoken, whatever she thinks she says. Loved that about her. She developed a friendship with Theo even after how they met, and so begins the slow-burn of that blurred line, to jump or not to jump. There are adventures, fun, laughter, of course little bit of danger and pain too…but all wrapped up in a cute romantic way. I really enjoyed them together and like I said, the story just flowed well!
