Not my first read by author, the ladies were NEW to me and I read one book and BAM I was hooked!! I also have read COME AGAIN which you get a little taste of Cece & Shep! I would recommend reading WATCH & SEE, BLUE BAYOU and COME AGAIN…but this can be read as stand-alone.

Now Shep, I want to talk about him first…he is not your normal hero…yes he is handsome, sexy and rich..coming from a gold spoon if you will but his own man and a good one at that. But he is not the type to sugar-coat, is honest and upfront. Cece, she is to me basically a woman who doesn’t take shit, lives her life and a rough one at that, always worked for everything. She doesn’t believe in marriage, love, kids…all of that. They both actually would never be the people to marry UNTIL one celebration where alcohol was a factor but also honesty. What happens? Well, the two most unlikely people END UP MARRIED!

Not your typical marriage either, they both have an understanding but can you really outrun fate? It was a unique IN A GOOD WAY type of marriage of convenience romance for me. They both are so independent and strong, Cece my heart goes out to her, she always seems to have to have a plan in life to feel in control and Shep well he is a businessman and always needs to fix it, make it happen…two strong wills come together in an explosive book!!

The ladies do not disappoint again, Shep and Cece are exactly what I had expected!
