Not my first read by the author, I am very familiar with the style and writing. I always love a good brothers-best-fiend enemy-to-lovers book and this was a perfect one at that. The angst level on this is pretty high too.
Savannah is the oldest Bailey and also the most jaded. She was old enough to understand it all and some when their parents died. So life, it really dragged her through the mud for years. When she finally let’s go for a millisecond, she ends up making-out hot and heavy with Liam who is her brothers-best-friend. Let’s also not forget that she is temporarily living with him, and also HATES him for being a womanizer and just a plain man-whore.
You get a strong enemy-to-lovers doze in this, also little fun HINT Liam is 5 years YOUNGER than our heroine Sav. So I wasn’t expecting that, must not have payed enough attention form the previous books since this is Book 4 in the Bailey’s Series. I am usually not fond of younger her’s because they tend to be too immature and it clashes a bit. Sadly this did clash a bit, there were some parts where you can definitely tell that the hero is younger, from his actions. But not enough to put me off. It’s a different dynamic between the characters. A beautiful one once they get around to giving in, gah then I SWOONED all the way to the end!
When Liam offers Sav a deal, she jumps right on it. After all, she has been the HELPER and FIXER for most of her life to everyone, who says SHE can’t have some fun. Liam is the very sexy, tattooed, laid back and funny guy…who better to help than him. Liam takes her into a different kind fo world and things only get more angsty from there. The slow-burn and anticipation is a KILLER!! The conclusion to this was surprising and exciting.
