At eighteen-years-old, I made a promise with my best friend in high school. If neither one of us were married by age thirty-two, we would marry each other. Now Miles Warner is back in town and wants to cash in on that promise we made all those years ago.

Not my first read by the author, she happens to be one of my top favorites. Also I have read Book 1 in this series & this one not only gave me all the feels but much more. This sassy second-chance romance was a perfect balance of sweet and tart!
This is a story of two best friends that went through all the changes through out growing up. Even during teenage-hood! When Miles decides to leave Kynslee behind to try and make someone out of himself, she not only was hurt but felt betrayed. Fast forward many years and the boy..not now MAN is back and want’s to cash in on that promise they made each other a long time ago. It was totally romantic…NOT! *face palm* Kynslee isn’t the young girl anymore, she is ready to move on because who waits for a man that may never want her but to just ‘cash in’ on a promise.
What you get is some beautiful young love, sweet, harmony, love…heartbreak, longing, jealousy and sorrow. There really is no rainbow without a little rain! It’s really spunky, sweet…keeps you on your toes…it’s just simply SWEET! The epilogue *be still my heart* these two were meant to be. Excited to see Paige & Luca’s story coming early 2020!
