After, we lay tangled in a pile of arms and legs. It was hard to see where mine ended and hers began. Skin. Hearts. Souls. But not lives. Out lives were being pulled, layer by layers, into different directions. Her family. My guilt.
Not my first read by author but my first official blog review. Now the blurb on this is what caught my eye and well I really like the cover too! This was very different from my usual reads because it’s more complex and the events and characters…it just felt different Life like if you will. Also could be because it had to do part political and those always either catch my eye or not, this one was a YES hehe safe to say!
Mac and Georgie are a enemy-to-lovers for sure. Where Mac has served his country only to return and follow steps into the political world. Leaving behind everything to want to better the world. Georgie also is giving up much for her family, here she is stepping away from her law career for her grandmother. But she has a lot to thank her for since she was a young girl, therefore it’s all moot. When she needs to find some place to stay, an ad catches her eyes about roommates needed who happens to be posted by of course Mac’s sister. Now their backstory on love is that they have met before and know of one another yes, but Georgie would never give the time of day to Mac. Now you put them together in the same space and what do you get? enemy-to-lovers, fun and both have a lot to lose.
I will say that Mac is WOW SWOON WORTHY! His heart makes mine melt! Georgie was a little rough at times but once you know her past and get to know her, she hides that big heart of hers. Their chemistry is explosive, the story line fit very well with smooth transitions and I also liked most of all the side characters. All in all, I really enjoyed it, you have to get into it I feel like because there is a lot happening and to me I was hooked from the beginning.
