Not my first read by author, I do believe it is my first the author alone review, the other’s were where it was joint. So, I was super excited for this. I wasn’t sure what to expect, I really like the Blurb so I went for it, and flipping A..this made it on my TOP 2019 list and if I could place it there three four times I would! *sigh* my heart with this.
Mara is a woman who is lost, not just your basic lost but deep down lost. The event she went through that brought her is something you’ll never expect. There is a mysterious factor to this plot and when you hit end of chapter 17 BOOM you’ll be saying ‘what just happened’. The twist and turn to this slow burn is amazing! The way she meets Dean and his beautiful daughter might have been a play of fate but everything after that was all Mara…until one day she finally realizes that, she screwed up. I can’t say how, when and what because let me tell you, you don’t want it spoiled. This heartfelt story will pull at the heart strings and play with your emotions while being SWOON ROMANTIC. Dean is *sigh* Dean is a man that comes around only once in a lifetime. He is handsome, tall, dark, half Italian-Portuguese and the best dad there could be. The way he is with his daughter…SWOON SWOON SWOON!
But this story is so much more in depth on all the levels. Not going too much into it to give anything up but the angst is higher from the experience. One experience that is shared with the other, yet a lie of omission is still a lie. The feelings this book brought out in me were unreal, I swooned, and felt the pain, laughed and cried. Just plain beautiful, all of it! I LIVED for the extended Epilogue YES! Can’t wait for more from the author! *this is from the heroine’s POV only.
