Not my first read by author, she is my #bookwifey and I have read all her books! Been excited for this one actually and NO I don’t know much ahead of time and also I don’t beta read for her, I like to be surprised with the awesome ARCs which I always am thankful for to Nikki.
Okay, I know I’ve said it before but I LOVE THIS ONE! It’s a perfect enemy-to-lovers romance!! Rochelle and Rafael are both so strong with a lot of history between them. A lot of sizzling history that is. Rochelle is very VERY headstrong and outspoken, and won’t repeat her mistake again and be hurt. While Rafa carries so much on his shoulder and is equally stubborn. This story is not for the faint of the heart because *sigh*
I will say that at the beginning it was a little hard to connect with Rochelle but here is the secret, to me Rafa tames her and somehow him being him, makes Rochelle even more better. She is still very tough, strong and outspoken but Rafa just brings out so much more in her. That said this is definitely one of my favorites of Nichole’s books!
