This is not my first read by author, she happens to be one of my favorites and I have read very very many books by her. This is a new-ish series Book #1 meaning there is a SWAT 1.0 and this is the 2nd generation. To say that I wasn’t surprised it was going to rock, I JUST KNEW IT. Lani has away of writing books simple yet with so much that at the end you’ll want to read all her books because as same as they might come off, they are very different each book in the series with new things, problems, and character ways. It’s really fantastic, that combined with her witting and words…gold!
This is really a sweet story, a realistic and to heart. We have the heroine Rowen who is the daughter of a police officer and the hero Dex who is a police office in the same force as Row’s dad. They run into each other after a rather not so cool incident that occurred to Row at the end of her internship, see she just graduated law school and finished her first year. For good reasons and some dangerous, she moves back home and away from the craziness, only to end up moving next to the sexy (I’ve had a crush on him for a long time) Dex. It’s starts of as a slow burn but when it’s lit, bot does it burn and burn hot! It’s a sweet and just so realistic kind of burn, the kind that exists in real life. Row is a upfront and honest person, and Dex appreciates that very much. So much happening in this book, lot’s of fun scenes to keep you engaged and of course little bit of danger. Looking forward to more in this 2.0 Series!
