This is a NEW to me author and books! What attracted me to this book was the Blurb and then of course the cover, it’s a sweet but sexy one if you know what I mean so I thought I’d love to give it a try. It was definitely right up my alley, and the beginning was promising for me but unfortunately it slowed down until about 50-ish % meaning, the story felt more the cause to me than anything else. The slow burn, was a REALLY SLOW BURN and I mean some like that and that’s fine but for me, I need a little bit more. Aside from that:
The story is based on the heroine who moved away form her childhood home, and is with a man who she was sure would be the one. When an incident happens back home, and she decides on a whim to leave. When she comes back home she runs into a handsome man who looks very familiar. After she arrives home and finds out what is going on, things only go down for her. The hero is a handsome, sexy, sweet oh so sweet single dad. He is in a sense alpha but mostly very sweet and kind. His daughter is the sweetest and this story really all together is SWEET. Watch out for the tear jerker too. It hinted for the heroine’s sister and hero’s brother, but I am not sure, this is my first read by the author.
