Not my first read by both authors and I have read the previous book in this series. Now, i was prepared for anything because book 1 was a doozer and i cried my little eyes out. This one took a different turn but equally heartfelt and exciting.
We have the hero Chase who has been friends and around the heroine Gabby for years. They actually work together and have a love/hate relationship at best. You bet your ass this is a enemy-to-lovers and a great one at that. Even though there were times i wanted to smack the heroine because booooooy was she stubborn, over the top stubborn. Just when things seemed to be headed in one direction, one night after a revelation…everything changes. And from then on, nothing is as it seems.
The surprises, the mystery, will all keep you on your toes. I cant say too much to give a lot out because this is very complex in the best way. I will say that, have tissue ready! You really cant go wrong with this series, i enjoyed the words and scenes, so pretty much all of it. You get both Pov’s and as things start off normal, they sure escalate fast. but don’t worry, you’ll like this escalation.
Really heart-felt on this one, pull at the strings and all!
