Not my first read by the ladies Jiffy Kate and I will say that their books are a INSTA-READ to me. I absolutely love their writing and was excited for this one very much! I do have to first off say that this is something totally different FOR ME from them, meaning I have read almost every book they have written and this is something different. This is mostly HIS POV until about Chapter 23 when you get Quinn the heroine.
Henry is a dare-devil, risk-taker, will try anything once. That’s why he is at a sex club, blindfolded and being bid on. When a woman that not only smells great but feels great bids on him, it’s on. And I mean that in every sexy sexual way I can. Half the fun was not being able to see her but feel everything!
Quinn is a woman that isn’t afraid to say or show what she wants. She is a mysterious woman through out the book, but when she bid on a man that called to her, the night they spend even only a short amount of time, was the most amazing time of their lives.
When lines get blurred for Henry, he is repeatedly rejected until fate stepped in. I don’t want to give out too much, but will say that my rating had a lot to do with the fact that out heroine was so mysterious and what was given, I did not like. Here is why the 4 star, without giving out too much:
-Having only his pov from the beginning to almost end, took out the romance for me (because even though i dont mind single pov’s, I did not enjoy our hero being the one pinning)
-Don’t get me wrong, the sex in this was AH-MAH-ZING and sizzling but there I say it, it was a lot of it and just not enough romance to balance it out FOR ME.
-Again, the fact that I was not able to connect with the heroine because of the lack of her and what was given of her, was unconventional and at times un-emotional.
All that said, I really think because I was expecting one thing and got another from the ladies, threw me off and of course the not able to connect with the heroine part. And by the way by the time I got to a little more of her, I was already so upset and disconnected that I couldn’t do it in such a short time. I really really debated on 4 or 4.5 stars and sadly I just can’t get over what hurt me the most. As I always say I am always honest with my review’s even with author I LOVE..always honestly. Therefore what I said, is all my opinion and for me. You may feel different. No bashing just simply being honest.
