I don;t know where to start with this but I will start by saying that I am a die hard fan of Kristen Ashley books, I have read every single one of them & always anticipate a new one from Ashley. That said, this specific book and series IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES! The Magdalane Series is heart, passion, life…just everything you need. The book it self was EVERYTHING that said I have read and re-read it many many times to know it like the back of my hand. When I found out that Passionflix was bringing it to life, I about screamed down the house. Best news ever! Little background of the book because obviously we can;t have a 6 hour long movie about a 595 page book, although I wish! This book is about a woman named Josie who didn’t have anyone in her life, but her beloved grandma. When she passes, Jodi is left with nothing more but the Lavendar House, which is a gorgeous original home right by the ocean. When she goes to the WILL reading of her grandmother, Jake Spear shows up and she has no clue why this man would be here. When her grandmother GIVES Jake HER haha yes in the will it stated that Josie belongs to Jake. Then the fun begins. I could write the whole brief story about all this but I will just hit a little, otherwise we are looking at a 10 page essay here. Josie is a woman who is proper, different, speaks different…and Jake is a man who has three ex wives, lives life, is rough and loves his kids. These two are the most unusual couples, it does not come easy and a lot of hurtle to overcome every single step. But their chemistry, sizzling.
NOW THE MOVIE: This was the most amazing interpretation of the book. I was in awww from the beginning, it captured me and to the end I was glued to my TV. They hit a lot of key points, stayed true to the characters, story and everything was perfectly perfect. I don’t know how other to describe it since it blew me away! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend reading the book, heck the whole series but if you just want to watch it, it really stays true to the story! Amazing job to everyone at Passionflix and the actor/actresses! Jake & Josie were very well chosen, just how I’d have imagined them! P.S. YOU WILL GET TO SEE WHO MICKEY IS, now Mickey’s book SOARING was also on another level!!
