BLURB
An unpauseable new romance from New York Times bestselling, Audie Award winning author Kylie Scott!
When Anna wakes up from a coma after a car crash, she discovers life has gone on without her. Her husband has been unfaithful—with her best friend—and she’s been long since replaced at work. While her old life is a distant memory, her new life feels like an empty shell. Then she meets the stranger who saved her life during the crash, and he changes everything.
Leif Larsen—tattooist, joker, and player—has his own scars thanks to the crash that put Anna in a coma. Helping her move on from her failed marriage, and create a new life, sounds like a perfect distraction. So when he needs a new roommate, he invites Anna to begin her new life with him.
Although their lives may have been put on pause, together they just might find a way to heal.

Not my first read by the author. And I have read a lot of the author’s books to know that this one made me a bit nervous, this really does contain a lot of my personal dislikes that turn me off and the review was written during my reading time, which is usually the cause. I am always honest and usually full on emotion into my reviews so.
I really wanted to love this and I did until I found out that this is going to be a Friends-to roommates only slow-burn. I’m a fan of friend-to-lovers but not when the H&H actually go on other dates and talk about other partners and so forth. It’s such a turn-off for me I really had to step back before I DNFed the book. So this rating is only really based off of my personal feeling or hate in this case about the actions and trope. *sad sigh* I really wanted them to be about each other and not just platonic friends and roommates because by the time it gets to the to-love part I’m so turned off and just can’t transition. And to make matters worse, when it does get to that, it’s a benefits thing and that’s when I had to skip here and there, it was either that or full on DNF the book. I’m so sad and disappointed while writing this review, you have no idea. There is nothing wrong with the style, words, plot or characters aside from my personal dislikes. And honestly I don’t even know what else to write on this review other than, H&H shared a traumatic experience, turned friends, turned roommates turned benefits and so forth. I think I’ll stop here with my emotional reader self! No I won’t because even though this was not for me or my style, I had a hard time not laughing because the hero and heroine were fun and funny by themselves but even more so together. In the end they made a very well match.
