Not my first read by the author and I have read all the books in the series! I dove into this one blind, I knew something was coming but figured I let myself be surprised. The only thing I just did…DISLIKED…was the whole Kyle situation, it was a little more unnecessary drama that I think we needed but it’s there and well I had to skip past that part. Being a mood reader I truly cling to the books and take it to heart. But in the end of that ordeal I understood and moved on from it. (it’s nothing like cheating or anything just a thing, also Kyle is NOT the hero)
Luke Morrison left one lifestyle path his father wanted for him to pursue and did something he always wanted to do. And he does it well. Famously well. Brighton Rogers lives and breathes her career, as a successful divorce attorney. When these two meet it’s because her boos Luke’s father suggested it, thinking that Bree wouldn’t be interested in him. He truly doesn’t know her that well because Bree may be portrayed as the cold hearted man-hater but she is actually a fun and sweet person. Very outgoing and out there, she speaks her mind and is funny. After she realizes that her boss set her up with the most gorgeous man in the world, she curses the universe for it. It has something to do with ‘gay’ and ‘wouldn’t be interested in me’. It was really fun to watch them come together, I haven’t laughed so hard in a book in a long time. Their chemistry was right off the bat, and their love really bloomed and developed fast but steady. I just truly LOVED them together. Their relationship is kind of magical, they end up in their own little bubble for a long time and when everything came down crashing, it crashed hard.
This story kind of starts at the end. It’s very fun, laugh out loud, romantic, sweet, sizzling sexy and emotional!
