Not my first read with author and I’ve read the others in the series. This series is not a favorite of mine from MF but you can’t have it always like that. That said, this was enjoyable to read still because I love MF’s writing style.
Deidra and Jagger are total opposites. One left the town to work on her career with a very rough past and now is a work-a-holic to the core. She’s just existing and even a little grumpy/mean. But when you get to know her better you know that that is coming from being lonely and mentally broken. Jagger is kind of the light at the end of the tunnel for Deidra. They may not go well together on paper but they are similar in many ways. Very strong, sweet and great story line. Lot’s of emotions in this book. Great addition to the series.
