Not my first read by the author but this is my first BETA read for her and I couldn’t be more happy. I absolutely love this woman’s work adn her books so only natural I beg her to add me to be as close as I can haha. Super excited for this one!
Papi & Mami in this one were fire. These two have history since they were kids. They have been a couple for a long time but it’s been complicated. Amberlyn is the one that’s kind of left behind but because of it it clouded her reading between the lines for the hero. You will want to smack the hero a few times in this, but his love and devotion to her it pure magic. Also the heroine is equally dramatic enough to know she is Latino and you can’t play with her. She is truly bad-ass and knows how to shoot. She may or may not have shot the hero, just saying. I absolutely loved this, from the alpha-ness of the hero Ivan to his killing tendencies and to the way he commands Amberlyn in the bedroom. This is sizzle on top of sizzle, there is a scene at their friend’s wedding that involves some…eating…you don’t want to miss. Highly recommend this whole series actually, will be re-reading it soon because I can’t get enough of Elene’s writing and her style. If you like no cheating, alpha hero’s, protective, anti-hero, bad-ass heroines, action and sizzle…this author is for you!
