Not my first read by the author she happens to be one of my top favorite authors. This series is something to dive into. Now this book I’ve been excited about because the H&H are both broken in different ways. The heroine has been through so much and she isn’t the scared little mouse anymore. She is learning, thriving and trying to move on with her life. She is the kindest soul and sweetest person. In comes big amazing sexy heroic and lovable doctor who has been away for far too long and carries his own world on the shoulders. He is broken and learning to try to understand at least that it was okay of the choices he made. They were the hardest ones. But now he is rooming with the heroine and before even officially meeting her, he thought she was the most beautiful woman soul-deep beautiful woman he has ever met. And that’s saying something about a medic who traveled the world and seen all of it.
This read truly broke my heart, I cried often but also was so proud of the heroine and mesmerized by their H&H connection. The heroine truly blossomed with the hero and managed to even mend his broken self. This is a slow burn worth the wait, it’s more emotion and heart and I loved every single page!
