Not my first read by the author, I have read all the books I this series and the author fast became one of my favorite authors!
Okay hear me out, Christian is kind of like the Robin Hood of 20’s century. That’s all i will say about that but I honestly fell in love with his grumpy serious ass from page one. Something about a man that is calculated and chooses his words wisely and only speaks when needed….does it for me. I do want to get this out so it’s done with: I really dislike the fact the heroine is part influencer (booktok has ruined romance books for me lately and I can’t stand the app and what it’s done) that said that is it about that. This will be a spoiler-free review and so it might be short but I will do my best to write my feelings on this book along with some insight.
These two have met all 3 times. Stella, my heart goes out to her she truly has the biggest heart and the shittiest luck. In comes big bad wolf…I mean Christian, the big CEO man himself. He is insanely YUMMY and DARKLY SWOON WORTHY! This book gave me everything that I needed. You have the grumpy CEO who is really actually lethal and I loved his dark side so much and this wasn’t even the sexual one. He is wicked smart and very possessive. These two really kind of get thrown together. There is a big secret that is the big elephant in the room and well i did not see any of it coming. I was shook at the revelation and I will not be spoiling it for anyone. Period. That said this is a read that I would recommend for time to come. You have the perfect anti-hero possessive and the smart, strong and yet vulnerable heroine, it just all fits and makes sense. You get plenty of other 3 books characters to quench your thirst, and the best part every single scene in this is meaningful.
Suspense, Swoon, Broody Hero, Slow Burn, Enemy-To, Secret Relationship….steamy times 10! These two souls were meant to be before they even knew it, they compliment each other and the tension and attraction…off the roof. I felt every single moment in this book! READ READ READ!
