Not my first read by the author and I read book one that also ended up on my TOP 2022 MUST READ! These triplet brothers are everything so far! This is a second-chance, friends-to, small-town, slow-burn. The H&H have a history and their connection is stronger than ever. Absolutely SWOON SWOON SWOON on the hero!
I think what I loved about this is the strong heroine but also still one that shows her heart that’s on her sleeve. These two share a past and a beautiful one, until it wasn’t. Years later and Ledger finds himself back in town. The truth will set you free they say, but for these two it’s not so easy. After this many years and the heartache they both carried, when they saw each other again it took no time for the feelings to resurface. Except now they are not young and this isn’t the simple life they thought they were living. The side characters on this like the heroine’s grandma and the little girl who is way too old for her young soul who keeps running into Ledger and giving him the 411, the cutest interaction! Every page of this book I loved! I can’t name on thing I dislikes except the hero’s father. Just when I wanted to like him just a tiny bit, tiny…I hated him more.
This time the heroine will set her own end date and leave without a worry. So she thinks. The hero has other ideas that i will not tell you selfishly because it’s so dang beautiful. Perfectly matched and their second-chance…DESERVED!
