Not my first read by the author and not my last. This is a new series but interconnected which is the best kind by Melissa. That said this one took me for ONE WILD ride!
I want to get over with the whole issues I was having with the heroine because she was a TOUGH cookie to crack. In the end I understood her more and maybe that’s just what I needed but the hero was EVERYTHING & MORE. (for the ladies that have the same ‘dislike’ as me, at the beginning there is some other female involvement but only for a hot sec and nothing happens) ALRIGHT now that we have that out of the way lets talk about this wild couple. Both hero and heroine lost a loved one, he was their best friends their 3 missing person. There were tough choices to be made by both H&H but mostly it was the heroine. I won’t give out too much really needs to be read so you understand it. This is heavy on the friends-to with a little enemy-to in the beginning. I will just say that the hero is AMAZING, I mean really amazing. Patient, loving, fun, sexy and forward and his heart, so beautiful! He truly is a fighter and a uplifting one at that. These two share a painful past but their future will depend on their love for one another. When the heroine is fighting it tooth and nail, the hero really shows his true colors and loves her for the both of them. When a tragedy happens, the loyalty, love and dedication from the hero just speechless. Sometimes it’s hard for us woman to move past something that you feel you caused or feeling guilty for not loving someone enough…this story isn’t just a story but a life lesson.
Enemy-To turns to Friends-to, Second Chance, Tragic, Sizzling Sexy, Slow Burn but worth the wait, SWOON hero! I couldn’t get enough of him, and this story may break your heart, but don’t worry Dare will fix that!
