Not my first read by the author. I have read the other book in this series. I really really really love this cover, the couple is a couple in real life and super sweet humans!
This one kind of took me by surprise, I think I may have expected too much and got disappointed when it didn’t align with that. I think I was missing the umpf the something, not just the little drama that did nothing to move me. I think it had a lot to do with that this was a age-gap and I was expecting the heroine to me mature enough but in the end she did annoy me at times. The difference here I think is that I enjoyed the hero a lot but the heroine over powered that but not in the best ways. The story was great, flowed well but was just that, a good plot story. I wanted to fall under the spell of the romance and all but this one was not for me. I still enjoyed the book because it contained other characters and the story really was good, I just I guess I am mad at myself because I wanted to love it so much.
