Not my first read by the author and I was excited for this. I have a thing for best friend’s brothers! AAAANNNDDDD i haven’t read a same profession H&H in a long time.
This starts of with the heroine moving back to her home town to live with her best friend after her father suffered a heart attack. She is to work at the same clinic as him, she is a pediatrician. She came from Chicago and loved her job there. The goal is to be in her home town for 6 months and go back. Until she runs into the hero again. Yes again, they had a one night the last time she visited and no one knows about it. Feelings resurface for her but she knows that she can’t, this is just temporary. Doesn’t help that she does not have a great relationship with her father, after all he is the one that broke the family by cheating and now she has a little step-sister who is took the heroine a long time to want to connect with. In the months she spends there, both H&H cross the line again without any regrets. They have a great time and with their friends, but this is coming to an end. That’s what the heroine is telling herself but it’s getting harder to imagine leaving again, and will she want to?
This story was very sweet, easy read and fun! H&H navigate their lives while running into each other, they find out they not only have the profession in common but a lot of life views. Heroine is scared and the Hero is sure for the both of them. I really enjoyed the overall feel on this book.
