Not my first read by the author and I LOVE her and all her books which I have read 😉 This one I knew would break my heart I just knew it.
This was so heartbreaking, and I say this a lot with Catherine’s books, but the Hero and Heroine share something that no one should have in common, when push comes to shove in the end, you can only lean on yourself and if you’re lucky another person that sees and loves you for you.
This book is part danger, part mystery and a whole lot of romance and all them feelings! I loved the hero from page one, as soon as we met him. Now the H&H share something no one wants to, losing someone close to you. While these two are from two different worlds, they come together because they see each other. Heart breaking and beautiful as always, Catherine really knows how to punch you in the feelings. What I loved about this is that is was a slow burn yes but the chemistry was so strong when they got together it was just the icing on the cake. You’ll get some suspense and mystery along with some heart wrenching moments and smiles. p.s. the hero is beyond SWOON worthy!
