Not my first read by the author and she happens to be one of my top favorite & yes I have read this entire series as well as re-read them. This one I have been so overly excited (i said that about each book in this series) but this one maybe was a little different.
How does one give a review on a book that LIVED UP TO THE HYPE *happy sigh*
First off this is Millie’s story she is Mack’s oldest daughter from Book #1 and for some reason I wanted this EXACT story for her. Everything just fit so perfectly. Millie is a wedding planner but also a clothes designer. She is content and secure at her current work life but her personal life could use some sprucing up. When she attends an expo in New York she is stranded an extra night and her younger sister tells her to let loose a little and go make a plot twist. That she did, she put on her favorite little black dress and the fire red lipstick in hopes to even just flirt a little. When she makes it to the bar she happens to see a striking silver fox sitting alone but before she can get the courage to walk up to him, she gets harassed by another man. The hero Zach does come to the rescue, the gentleman he is *insert dirty look here* and one drink later both the hero and heroine know this is a bad idea but they do it anyway. Once they cross the hotel room that gentleman, I was referring to earlier, long gone. They share a fun filled sexy and steamy hot night and when morning comes there is no regrets or awkwardness. They part ways but not before Zach gives Millie his business card. Millie does not call him.
The anticipation and work up to the next meet of them two was so ANGSTY and NERVE WRECKING because I wanted to read faster but also slower because I didn’t want it to ever end. If that makes sense.
Millie and Zach had no idea how much their worlds would collide in the next months to come. See Millie is planning her ex-boyfriend’s wedding to a woman she introduced him to. Millie seems to think that every guy she has dated they went on to be in happy relationships and marriages, so what she did back in NY was her most exciting stepping out of her comfort zone…but things never really just stay at one night. In her case her one night shinning armor and Saviour showed up at her current said ex-boyfriends rehearsal dinner she was planning. When they said each other’s names before anyone could even introduce them, Zach slips up but Millie manages to avert everyone’s curiosity. Then she finds out that her ex-boyfriends long lost father he never knew about because of his mother, happens to be the same Zach she spent the magical night with. It really just goes crazy after that. Millie is attracted and really likes Zach and he knows this is all so wrong (they both acknowledge that) but the heart wants what the heart wants. Millie found something in Zach she has never had and Zach hasn’t felt this alive in a very long time. He went through life with a horrible past and therefore his one and only marriage he ever had failed and he was okay with that. So now we have Millie in the early 30s and Zach in his later 40s, two people so very different but connected in life more than anyone can imagine.
They both want each other and can’t stay away from each other. Yes they know what they are doing is wrong and lying doesn’t solve anything just prolongs the truth but when two people are so in sync with one another, the heart overtakes the brain. They actually have some adventure, fun, sizzling nights & days and just love being around one another. Not living in the same state and constantly trying to end things, makes things harder but in the end I really just wanted them to make it work but it’s not that easy. Nothing ever comes easy for them except when they are together and in their own world. Everything outside of that can wait because you just can’t deny your heart. There is so much emotion in this book, I never wanted it to end. Perfect story for Millie and the perfect Hero…even if he is a little broke!

I really want to not warn you because YOU NEED THIS but this is one steamy book, like the sizzle is off the charts. The forbidden aspect in this is a 10+

This book really gave me all the emotions. Steamy scenes, fun, goosebumps, adventure, laughter, angst, worry, tears, swooning and romance! Millie & Zach are from two different worlds, but so much alike. Their hearts just belong to one another. PERIOD! I haven’t FELT the love between a hero and heroine like these two. Hold on your heart on this one because it will be racing the whole time for all the reasons. Couldn’t recommend a book more in a series than this but also would tell you to read from book the very beginning because each book is amazing on it’s own!
