A little crab might have informed me that Braxton and Harlee were seen in a rather…intimate embrace only two nights ago on the Seaside Pier! The scandal of it all since Harlee is fresh off a breakup with Thomas Minor…who happens to be Braxton’s BFF! Did I mention scandal?

Not my first read by the author, love her work and I also have read all the other books in this series. This is a interconnected and should be read in order. I really want to put something here but realized it most likely will give out a lot, so I will not. My reviews are 99% spoiler free! That said let me tell you a little about this cute and fun book!
These two have known one another for a long time, they actually had a little something earlier in the years and it was the bravest moment for the heroine only to get her heart broken and shut down by the hero. Now years later Harlee has mastered the art of locking her feelings away and just going through life. While the hero has never forgiven himself for that night all those years ago. These two end up in close forced proximity because Brax knows something about Harlee and she thinks he is clueless. That said they both set out on this wild goose chase, and end up becoming closer but Harlee is terrified of what had happened before so she closes herself off even more. Luckily our swoon hero Brax doesn’t give up ever and what comes of this is a fun adventure where two people who are afraid to say words but showing them come easier.
This was easily the most fun book I’ve read. The adventure, secrets, fun and easy-ness in this kept me turning pages faster to see what will happen. Knowing everything but watching these two try to figure out how to come to the same path…there is a lot of pain along the way, the heroine is the hard one for me in this book. I know what she went through, but she was extra stubborn and thickheaded. The angst in this is KILLER. I liked that these two already knew how to work together and so when it all fell into place, it was all the butterflies you would want from a H&H’s relationship. Lets not forget the amazing family dynamic in this series. You get the side characters, previous book characters and some new ones that you HOPE will make an appearance in their own book. There is just a healthy doze of LIFE in this book and series, they are interconnected and when read in order, it’s hard to put them down.
Get ready for an adventure of a lifetime, where one person knows the truth and the other trying to keep the truth from coming out. This was a lot of fun mixed with heart and sizzle. You have a little enemy-to, healthy competition, sizzle, heartache and romance!
