Not my first read by MF, she is a top favorite author of mine and I have read the other books in this series. Now talk about bringing up the heat on this one *fanning self* it’s going to be a hot one!! This book is in 3rd person and both POV’s
These two are fire and chaos. That’s the best way I can describe them. We have the heroine Madigan who is a little fire cracker and strong and so damn beautiful, throw in the hero Tobias who has his mind made up, and after getting out of Jail he isn’t looking to stick to anywhere or anyone for that matter. But how can he resist the cute but sexy Madigan, he can’t and she makes sure of that. When the heat turns up between them, there are so many elephants in the room you can’t even see. While it may be fun for both of them and they get to indulge there is the truth out there. When it call comes crashing down in a not so pleasant way, it really crashes and crushes. But the hearts wants what the heart wants, and I am so happy to report that the hero really redeemed himself and I fell in love with him ever more for it. While the hero shares a dark past he still has one of the biggest hearts, while the heroine might be just the person he needs. Madigan came back from Spain and told no one as to what happened there, that alone made her realize she can never fall in love again. This is why her and Tobias’s relationship worked so well in the beginning, to strings attached just all the hot steamy fun.
What I loved most about this book is the build up, the chemistry and the hero being grumpy to her sunshine. Just loved them together, they had their bad times of course where I just wanted to shake the hero or yell at the heroine but their love for one another is just something that captivates you. The hard parts and their backgrounds broke my heart but they fix that for one another as they go on. I think maybe possibly the heavy hot sizzling sexy sex was to help just a little but through out it all you really just fall in love with them together.
