Not my first read by the author and she is one of my TOP favorite, I have read all of her books and the until world as well. This book is from Until May the hero’s sister & his best friend. I would suggest reading that first. It was a little hard for me to want to like her even though I understood what she was going through but in Until May it was hard, then I found out she would be getting her own story and I was all for it. This did her justice and redeemed herself in my eyes. LOVED everything about this!
Bridgett comes from a life of wealth and privilege. That’s all she has ever known, so when she married a man her father approves of who is not only an asshole but also cheating. Sadly that’s how the rich live sometimes, so she went with it. Was mean to everyone, high handed and rude, acting like what she was in. That was until her brother and his girlfriend knocked some sense into her. Now she is starting over from scratch and with NOTHING, absolutely nothing but what she has on and is with her. When she goes to a gas station one night and her car gets stolen, her brother’s best friend Noah comes to the rescue. Well he kind of had to, him being an office and all but still not the point. That said, there has always been something between them but nothing ever developed once Bridgett became who she was.. Now she is trying to move on but her ex will not have it, or give her a divorce. If anything he does anything he can to make her life even more miserable. Noah is the perfect BOOM hero, and the heroine is not used to it so when he does things like open her car door or wants her to wait until he comes around to open it back up when they are somewhere, she doesn’t understand it. These two are just made for each other, he is the rough to her sweet but the hero has a big heart. Afterall his dog he adopted and found out she was pregnant he kept and is taking care of all of them not to mention he let the heroine stay at his place to make sure she is taken care of. This might be a novella but it packs a punch in all the sweet places!
