Not my first read by the author and I love all of Amy’s books! This one, *sigh* is a special one in the series. Single-Dad, Tragic Past, Gorgeous Hero with the heart of gold and then we have red-headed heroine, sweet, big BIG heart, broken! This combination only means that you will need tissues, fair warning!
Hero: Milo is a man with a past that he is still haunting him. His own child-hood to adult-hood was not ideal and involved illegal from the day but he did what he thought was best for himself and what he knew to do best. When he met the love of his life, married her and had 2 beautiful children with…he never thought his past would come in the darkest form. After loosing everything he is now set on just living and existing and trying his best to be the best father to his kids.
Heroine: She is sunshine and happiness. I fell in love with her first to be honest, something about her that just draws you in. She is a teacher, living life as best as she can. She grew up without any parents and only her big brother who was there for her in every possible way. When he got into an accident, she of course steps up. What she didn’t encounter was her boyfriend turning. Being saved by the mysterious big and handsome Milo, she did not anticipate for her whole life to implode. Yes she has friends her best friend that can help her (Book#1) but it’s about trying to make it herself. After what she went through, Milo’s offer is a genuine one and she can’t help but want to spend more time with the man.
This couple…I am trying really hard not to give out all the secrets. It’s not a slow burn but slower, it’s a single dad, big mysterious sexy man, sunshine heroine with a troubling past, haunting past of the hero. It’s so interesting and addicting and every page keeps you addicted to the next. Everything from the beginning, their first kiss and sexy times to the tender and big heart moments. Your favorite quote from the book?
“Mad, mad love.” Every time Tessa says it. I knew when she
told Eden it in Give Me a Reason, it was going to be Tessa’s mantra. But what it comes to mean
in her story was so beautiful to me.
The hardest part to write in the book?
Oh, man, that is always difficult to answer because
writing is always a labor of love for me, but I think for this one, it was getting the flashbacks
right. There was a lot happening, and I really wanted to show a ton of emotion.
What/Who inspired Milo?
I have always wanted to write an underground fighter and it had
never quite fit in with any of my previous series, but I knew that role was meant for Milo!
How long and hard did it take you to find the perfect cover model for Milo? (which by the fan-
freaking-tastic job on that)
Oh man, that one was rough!! We searched and searched, and when
we found the model for Milo, we set up a shoot. Michelle had to have him fly in. Unfortunately,
that shoot ended up not working out, so we had to bring him back again with another female
model. A natural redhead who, OMG, couldn’t have been more perfect. So as they say,
everything works out in the end!
Least favorite part you had to write in the book?
Well, I don’t want to give away the plot, but it
was one of the last flashbacks. It was really sad and hard to put that on the page.
I have to personally say that I fell in love with Tessa first and Milo wasn’t far behind, who did you
fall in love with first?
TESSA! I’ve been in love with her since book one, and she is the reason we
even had this book. I hadn’t planned for a fourth in the series, it was only going to be the
Lawson Brothers, but I got so many messages proclaiming their love for Eden’s best friend Tessa,
I knew she had to have story. It didn’t take me long to fall for Milo though.
How long did the writing process take you?
This one took me a solid four months.
What is one thing you would want the readers to know about this book?
That I think it’s the
perfect end cap to my favorite series I’ve ever written. I’m so proud of everything it is.
If you could make this into a movie, which actor/actress would play the MMC & MFC?
Why do you try to kill us with all your books but especially with this one? I had no idea what was
coming so when it all came together it was a rollercoaster or emotions for me.
LOL I didn’t kill
you that bad, did I? But seriously, I always want my readers to truly feel my characters, so it
always comes out that way. When I started on this one, though, I didn’t expect how powerful it
was going to be.
One thing you want your readers to know about you?
That I am truly in love with my job, and
I’m so thankful I get to bring them stories that I always hope touch their hearts.
Is it hard or easy for you to write the love and spicy scenes?
scenes? Yes!! It always feels like the hardest
because I have to get both the emotional and the physical right.
I know how much you adores Lyrik, but which FEMALE character of yours is the favorite? And
which of the female characters are most like you?
Hmm, I would say Willow from Stay has to be my favorite character. Her spirit and her love was so beautiful to me. I loved every single thing about her. Most like me? Probably Eden from Give Me a Reason.
Favorite Male character you’ve written and why?
Lyrik from Where Lightning Strikes and Trent
from Give Me a Reason is hot on his tail – there was something so compelling about Lyrik. He
was such an asshole and so fucking hot, but also so broken and sweet in a rough way.
Some of your favorite authors?
Amy Harmon, Colleen Hoover, and of late I’ve been getting back
into my love of Fantasy and Paranormal romance – reading Jennifer Armentrout for the first
time and I’m pretty sure she is going to end up on that favorites list!

Please tell us a little about yourself.
Hi, I’m Kyle Martens
I am from a small country town in rural New South Wales, Australia called Cootamundra but now I live
just south of Sydney in a place called Wollongong but I am still a country boy at heart.
My hobbies include going to the gym, I love entertaining people making people smile or laugh
whether it’s being an MC or even just in a group of friends. I love going down to the beach I have
always been fond of the water surfing, standup paddle boarding even kayaking I also enjoy going for
long car rides and just listening and singing along to good music.
I am in a relationship with my beautiful partner Ali, who I met last year and we have been inseparable
since.
Something fun about myself I actually used to be a male entertainer (stripper)
Since this is your first cover on a book, tell us a little about how you found out, how did it
make you feel, the process and so forth..
I was actually scrolling through my Instagram and saw Michelle Lancaster from @lanef scrolling post
she was looking for a male tall tatted dark for a romance novel cover and I thought to myself I would
absolutely love to do that but I didn’t think I was romance novel cover material so I went about my
business an hour passed and Michelle messages me and had said that she had sent my picture off to
the author and I got the green light and asked if I was available to go down and shoot for the cover.
I was completed over the moon lost for words I was so very happy and full of disbelief, from many
many experiences I have had with so many opportunities with modeling or even job opportunities fall
through so I was nervous and excited at the same time and really didn’t tell anyone until it was
actually happening.
Have you done book cover modeling before or was this your first photography wise
experience?
I Had done some work in front of the camera before for a friend’s clothing label
But at the start of 2022 for my birthday I thought it would be nice to have some professional
photoshoots done because I was really happy with how I was looking and would be nice to share on
my social media .
Those photoshoots absolutely changed the course of my year, those photoshoots were feature in 5
different magazines, 2 were covers and 1 included and article from myself. They had opened up a door
for myself that I never thought I would have open been available for myself.
I remember the first feature I sent it to my mother and I was in absolute tears with happiness not ever
did I think I would have featured in a magazine.
Tell us about the shoot, it was with Michelle Lancaster from @lanefotograf and we got to see
a teaser she posted (which was hot and much needed) how did the experience go knowing
that this could be on a cover for a romance book?
I Know right that teaser video was fire. I tried to take it all in it was a great experience obviously it was
my first ever time trying get intimate shots done, with someone I had met for the first time and
portraying that we are intimate lovers in front of the lens to help the readers have a clear picture of
the relationship between the characters. But also I wanted to have some of my personality shine
through as well especially whenever Michelle was recording videos.
Were you comfortable with the female model?
I Was actually I think being a stripper helped the confidence with that, Meagan was absolutely
fantastic to shoot with, I could tell she was a bit nervous I could feel her shaking when I held her and
she did say it was the first time shooting with a male.
But after a few a while when the camera was clicking away I think she got comfortable.
Have you ever read a romance book? Do you own any? -secretly or not
OK I have when I was younger not knowing what I was reading my mother would have loads and
loads of romance novels floating around the house and I would just pick them up and read them not
being able to comprehend what I was reading.
As for owning one I do not yet but I dare say I’ll ensure I’ll have a copy of Promise Me Always when it
is release as reading all the reviews have made me extremely curious about not just that particular
book but the whole series .
Where do you go from here? Are you looking and hoping to be on more romance covers?
At the moment this would definitely be the most memorable achievement I have so far and I really do
hope I have the opportunity to feature on more romance novel covers I love being in from of the
camera and if there are those out there who want to see more of me I am more then happy to oblige.
What advise would you give other models regarding romance book world?
I would forward on the advice I received from a very close friend of mine and someone who has
graced more then a few romance novels himself,
It’s all about emotion and really work on being able to show that emotion through facial expression.

I have always been into personal development books and I really loved
