Not my first read by the author and I have read almost every single book. That sad this is a special one for me because THAT’S MY PHOTO I TOOK on the cover and I couldn’t be more honored. *happy sigh* that also said this is a spin off book from Meet me in Montana Series and this family reunion will make you want to stop, go back and start from book 1 (which is NEVER ENOUGH Nlayze’s parents) there and then come back. Nostalgia and also excitement! ALSOOO that said, this is a push-pull angsty book so prepare!
Hero:
He is cocky, confident, a flirt and has a killer smile. Oh and um he’s a cowboy with the whole jeans, boots and hat! That’s all I need to say about him. I will say that underneath all that confidence is a man that was hurt a lot and is hiding behind it.
Heroine:
Beautiful, smart and a little uneasy of herself. I think at the very beginning when everything happened the ‘before’ i kind of hated her. It’ll make sense when you read but then of course as always we get the back story and it made sense but it was a bit harsh at the moment. But to give her credit they were young and that was very acceptable behavior for that age.
Story:
Young boy & girl are behind a barn about to commit to one another, as in the girl is about to give herself to the boy she is in love with…not knowing that the boy is in love with her as well. THEY ALMOST GET CAUGHT by the parentals and things are said that can’t be taken back and in the heat of the moment for two young people. Forward a decade and Georgiana is back in Montana on a work assignment. That assignment happens to be the one and only boy that broke her heart, except he is all man now. They end up shacking up at his house, because his parents home was full and it’s a very much enemy-to romance from then on. But there are beautiful moments in between, like when Blayze took her hiking thinking it’ll piss her off to be up so early and climb a mountain but it backfired because she did it and loved it. Once the lines starts blurring, Georgiana finds something about regarding her work and is quick to jump to announce it, except men are men and well things happen as in HEAT UP and things get forgotten. When these two get together the spice level goes up to 5, I mean who doesn’t like a dirty talking big sexy cowboy hero! THIS ONE you don’t want to miss.
I loved watching their story unfold and all the secrets with twists and turns. I will say that one scene that I absolutely just love (in any trope) is the one where the heroine is running to the hero (this is after an argument or things happen) and she jumps at him to hug him and he has to brace himself with an umph to catch her and hugs her back equally hard. *makes my heart so happy* p.s this has that scene! I am looking forward to the next one which is Morgan the hero’s sister and his best friend. This will be more of a suspense and I love me a good suspense. Yes you get to see a lot of Morgan in this book while she is still younger. I loved the original Meet me in Montana series and this was much needed!!
Blayze & Georgiana heat up this story with a unforgettable past and a forgiving future. There is romance, heat, fight and secrets that you need to unpack. In the end, true love really does find it’s way!
