Not my first read by the author. I am a huge fan and blessed I get to read all of her books and work for her at times. She is an amazing person and a fantastic author. That said this was so so so cute!
Who doesn’t love a good office romance with a fake engagement. The hero was all the alpha you need from Aurora and the heroine has all the sass and strong-ness needed for you to love her. When the heroine finds herself helping her friend over the summer, she was expecting a nice little side job in the office but that’s not what she got. She got the grumpy CEO who works all the time and is just grumpy and sometimes mean to her. So the enemy-to here is perfections, enough banter and so much sass and back bone from the heroine, I loved it. When a last minute things falls through for the hero who else can he call really. The heroine only agrees because this is her job, but little did she know she agreed to a lot more than she could imagine. The offer the hero gives her she can’t refuse but the fact that she will be his fake fiancée didn’t sit well with her. What a heroine supposed to do? You take the deal, because after all this is not just for you and fun this is for your mother and the future. What happens next is a roller coaster of lies, forbidden touches, fun, laughter and anger….lots of anger oh and more lies!
I had so much fun reading this book. This is a standalone and I read a few many potentials that could make this into a series and time will only tell if we will get more, I sure hope so it was really that good I want it to keep going.
