Not my first read by author but fairly NEW to me & her books! I have to say that the blurb really really got to me on this one, hell I didn’t even finish it all the way and I was already signing up!
Holy mother! The prologue is heart wrenching!! Once you get into the chapters…little mending but I have to say that Braelyn is.. broken, i mean my heart. Until a little kid named Ollie waltzes in because of the candy. His infectious smile and happiness makes her smile. Well, that’s until she meets his father, the slurry, broody and asshole Brance. But I guess being an attorney comes with that, except he is even more if an a-hole. Why you ask…oh just a few reasons. But when he is mean to Braelyn, the spitfire within her reappears…but only for a second before his words bring out the dark cold region of her soul. At that time I wanted to punch him. But don’t worry Braelyn doesn’t give up easy!
I loved and hated the hero through out the book only because, I mean he is very alpha (the sexy scenes phew watch out) but also broken up so much that hell I thought Brae wasn’t going to get through. It has a lot of difficult moments and beautiful ones that all involve Ollie. The whole story plot is great, the characters all unique in their own way. I really really enjoyed the whole everything together. If i had to nit-pick, I’d say that the ending felt slightly rushed to me which I understand because of all the great leading up to’s BUT the epilogue made up for it. BUT i still wanted more hehe that was the thing, I finished and I didn’t want to finish!! This author keeps surprising me in every turn and in the best way possible. Easy reads I can relate to that have so much dept and emotion…ooh oh and her writing, exactly the style that I enjoy the most!! All in all, watch out this book will bring out emotions and I read this in one sitting, I stayed up till 1am to finish because I needed to know how it ended!! FANTASTIC READ!
